A large majority of the Israeli public - 84.9 percent - is opposed to the release of security prisoners with blood on their hands in order to enable the resumption of direct negotiations with the Palestinian Authority (PA), according to a survey published Friday in the Yisrael Hayom daily. A majority of 54.5 percent would vote against an agreement based on pre-Six Day War boundaries with other territorial concessions and border adjustments.
At the same time, 62.7 percent support the renewal of talks and 52.7 support the premise of two states for two peoples.
That 52.7% in favor of 'two states for two peoples' breaks down as soon as you start asking specifics.
And the 54.5% sounds a little low to me. That would also break down as soon as you get into the specifics.
