I am honored to be in their company

Shavua tov, a good week to everyone.

It turns out that yours truly is on the hit list for the hackers targeting Israeli sites.

I am duly honored.

Anyone who is an expert, please send me suggestions to protect myself.

  1. Actually, i'm not sure if you have to do something carl. I mean, your blog is hosted on blogspot who is in reality google. the ones that should take precaution and guarantee that the pages they host won't get attacked are the hosts themselves.
so, i don't know if you should or could do anything.

  2. - Make sure you have 2-step verify turned on for your Google account.

    - Make sure you connect to Gmail and Blogger ONLY via HTTPS, not HTTP

    - DO NOT run things in other tabs or windows of the same browser at the same time. Meaning, DO NOT be on a news site in another tab while logged into your Google account.

    - DO NOT click on ANY link from ANYONE received via email or comment or Facebook via the attack period. Even if you know the person. If the link appears valid, type it into a separate browser window yourself - when you are NOT logged into your Google account. (Log out of Google or run a different browser, meaning log into Google in Firefox but browse in Chrome.)

    - Put someone on your blog or an alternate email address of your own as an alternate administrator, in case your Google account gets taken over.

    - Daven.

  3. Back everything up on some drive that is wired, not wireless, and then unplug the backup from the internet and put it in a drawer. Or in a small, aluminum trash can w/lid, which I was reading is as good as anything in case of EMP. I've seen that backup/unplug/separate thing done with really important stuff.
