Fired!

I'm sure you will all be saddened to hear that Larry Derfner has been fired by the JPost. Gee, do I post the whole thing in case he tries scrubbing it?
I got fired by The Jerusalem Post today. The paper got hundreds of notices of cancellations of subscription after my blog post (“The awful, necessary truth about Palestinian terror”) of Sunday last week; the reason being given for my firing, though, is the substance of the essay, despite the apology I published later. A page-one notice to this effect will be published in the Post tomorrow.
Maybe that will make the JPost editors re-think whether they really want to be Haaretz II. After all, Haaretz already does such a great job of endangering the State of Israel all by itself! (For the record, the JPost has not shown up this week, so apparently they just decided to cancel us at the end of last week).
What bothers me most is not that I got fired, but that I’m not being given the opportunity to fill in the picture that’s been so distorted in today’s Post column and in right-wing Web commentaries. The parts of the picture being obscured or outright hidden would show that while I misspoke myself harmfully, my intent was not to support, endorse, advocate, encourage or call for terror against Israelis, but to end it.
Incredibly, Derfner still doesn't get it. He doesn't understand why NOTHING justifies 'Palestinian' terrorism. He still thinks he's saving us by explaining to us how WE justify 'Palestinian' terror. But nothing does. What a pompous ass!
By skewing my words so badly, today’s Post column, the Web commentaries and Post publishes on page one tomorrow portray a writer announcing that he wants Israelis to get killed, instead of one who’s trying to stop that from happening.
Isn't that what Larry said? From his post last Sunday:
If those who oppose the occupation acknowledged publicly that it justifies Palestinian terrorism, then those who support the occupation would have to explain why it doesn’t. And that’s not easy for a nation that sanctifies the right to self-defense; a nation that elected Irgun leader Menachem Begin and Lehi leader Yitzhak Shamir as prime minister.
Oh - and get this:
Let me just add that I was told that the “great majority” of the Post staff opposed my firing. I’m truly grateful for the support they showed.
BWAHAHAHA!

Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out, Larry.

Maybe the Independent or the Guardian would hire him. He speaks their doublespeak.

Larry and the rest of the 'liberal' left have long since forgotten the difference between resistance and terrorism. If they ever knew it.

Professor Miao: absolutely! Definitionally, terrorism, qua terrorism, deliberately violates the norms of warfare to murder non-combatant civilians in order to terrorize them.

In all the hub-bub over imaginary Israeli "crimes of war" you would think if lefties were smacked over the nose enough with their maladorous column inches, they would get the point that suicide bombing is by choice a war-crime tactic.

Endorsing the mass murder of Jews was crossing a line. The Palestinians are murdering another country's unarmed civilians. Larry Derfner doesn't appear to understand that, he understands nothing.
