Confirmed: Iranian soccer players were threatened

In my post on the Iranian soccer players who wore green armbands in Seoul yesterday for the first half of their World Cup qualifier - but not for the second - I suggested that the players may have been threatened to get them to take the armbands off at halftime. This BBC report confirms my conjecture.

Let's go to the videotape.

Courage indeed.

If you follow the link to yesterday's post, the armbands are explained. They were green, which is the color of Mousavi's faction in the current fighting.
