Comrade Yuli re-educates the proletariat

Hot on the heels of denying an Israeli educator the right to return to the position from which she had him dismissed six years ago for trying to separate Yitzchak Rabin's 'legacy' from his murder, and of halving the budget for Orthodox Jewish girls to teach Jewish heritage and Zionism to secular kids in the public schools, it was announced today that Israel's moonbat education minister Comrade Yuli Tamir will provide funding so that fifth and sixth grade students in the Haifa public schools can be taught Arabic language and culture.
The aim of the project, beyond teaching spoken and literary Arabic, is to "link Jewish pupils to the Arab population which is the second-largest [community] in the country," said Rachel Metuki, educational director at the municipality.

"The program is experiential, and in addition to the language lessons, there will be story tellers in Arabic, audio tapes and plays in Arabic," she explained. "The pupils will learn about Arab family and community life, cultural codes, and all aspects of customs."

Contrary to the Junior High School pupils throughout the country who study literary Arabic only, the Haifa pupils will learn spoken Arabic and will make daily use of it.
I trust they'll learn about the 'naqba' too.

The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus Knesset is to hold a special session about Tamir next Tuesday.

I see you have your share of dimwits in government. We certainly do in Canada. I have hopes for Harper, hopefully he'll get re-elected and keeps his integrity. He's had to be careful, as the left just loves to tell everyone how "scary" he is. I think he's got what it takes to be a leader.
