India blows off Israel?
I know I have some readers in India. Perhaps you could comment on this. Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil blew Israel off on Saturday. She went to Damascus and announced that India sides with the Arabs and that the Golan should belong to Syria. Really? Indian President Pratibha Patil said that India fully supported the return of the Golan Heights to Syria during a joint press conference with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Israel Radio reported Saturday.I wonder how much the Syrian government is planning on investing in India. Maybe Patil ought to rethink her position. Heh.
Patil is visiting Syria as part of her visit to the region, aimed to encourage mutual investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Indian president said that India had consistently supported Arab goals in the region, and sought a peace agreement in accordance with UN resolutions.
