Finally some good news: Peres doesn't want to be President anymore
Unhappy with the candidates to succeed Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Netanyahu has floated a proposal to change the law and allow Peres to remain President after July of this year. You know,
'Palestinian' style.
But alas, King Shimon the conniving has said no. He wants to go off and run his '
Peres Center for peace' rather than continuing to foil the will of the people from another perch.
Following radio reports on Wednesday morning that Prime Minister
Binyamin Netanyahu was allegedly seeking to have Peres remain in office
for another year during which time the law would be amended to enable
the public rather than the Knesset to elect the president, Peres' office
released a statement clarifying that the president opposes any change
to the law and fully intends to complete his term in accordance with the
current law at the end of July 2014.
Peres has a number of plans in connection with the Peres Center for
Peace in addition to which in recent months, he has received numerous
invitations to visit countries around the world after completing his
tenure.
Current heads of state and of major organizations and institutions
abroad want to have Peres as an honored guest with or without an
official role or a title. Peres is a living legend and is widely
recognized as such.
Prior to the election of Israel’s eighth president, the law permitted a
president to serve two consecutive five-year terms before stepping down.
Yes, Peres will be our ambassador for 'peace.' What could go wrong?

The 'Peres Center for Peace' and the poritz syndrome
Like a good
galuth (exile) Jew who fears what the
poritz will think, Shimon Peres and his 'Peres Center for Peace' are ashamed to tell the world that
Israel is the national home of the Jews (Hat Tip:
Shy Guy).
The Peres Center has decided not to enter the presentation of
“Snowball” to the itinerary of the Barcelona team while they are
visiting Israel, after it was deemed to contain the message that “The
State of Israel is the national home of all Jews”, according to a
report in “Israel Today”.
The story began in April of this year,
during a new presentation at a children’s festival in Haifa.
It is
based on an original play, and sets the story of a boy – Felipe – a new
immigrant from Argentina, and an avid fan of Barcelona football star,
Lionel Messi. After learning that the Barcelona team was going to visit
the country, the artistic director turned to the Peres Center for Peace,
suggesting the presentation be integrated into the team’s forthcoming
visit.
According to the report in “Israel Hayom”, the Peres Center
at first responded quite enthusiastically. And then an e-mail from
Dvir Zivan, Director of the Sports Dept. for the Peres Center, was sent
out, wherein he indicated that it was inappropriate. In essence, he
stated that it was politically incorrect to expose Palestinian Arab
children to a play that says Israel is a “Jewish State”. And so, plans
for the presentation have been cancelled.
Shimon Peres is a disgrace to the State of Israel. I have no other words.

S. Daniel Abraham financing 'tent cities'
In an Israel Radio interview in the 8:00-9:00 hour this morning, protest leader Stav Shafir admitted to Israel Radio's Keren Neubach that American millionaire and peace process promoter S. Daniel Abraham has financed some of the 'social justice' demonstrations that have taken place in Israel over the last few weeks. Abraham admitted the same thing on Tuesday night.
S. Daniel Abraham founded and heads the S. Daniel Abraham Centre for Middle East Peace and Economic Co-operation. He also funds the Peres Peace Centre and was heavily involved in the Oslo accords and at one point Birthright. He is a member of AIPAC. He has children in Israel and keeps staff here. He's been "pro-peace" [= favoring Israeli concessions] for many years. His money source is Slimfast.
Danny Abraham is also the chief funder of the Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, now headed by former Rep. Robert Wexler. The Center is very close with Shimon Peres. He is also said to be close to the Clintons.

'The tip of the triangle of destruction'?
And I thought they'd
name streets after him if they ever got a 'state'.... Indeed, for a long time, many pundits on the Right here referred to him as the founding father of 'Palestine.'
The following article from the sports pages of the official PA daily is an example of how neutral Israeli activities are twisted and used to promote hatred of Israel in the PA.
The article is about Israeli international sports contacts and criticizes Israel's invitations to foreign athletes. Israel is accused of inviting the athletes that Palestinians admire most - just in order to frustrate Palestinians. "'Israel' aims its poisoned arrows with great accuracy at the heart of every sports star who enters the hearts of Palestinians and Muslim Arabs. It is clear that Israel is able to invent ploys and set traps in order to attract the Arabs' favorite international football stars... to cause frustration to the Palestinians... Since our enemy is shrewd, it is well aware of how the Spanish [football] League is admired by Palestinians and Arabs; therefore, it continues to target the stars of the outstanding Spanish League..."
The writer criticizes Israeli President Shimon Peres and the Peres Center for Peace, describing the President as the "tip of the triangle of destruction," and attacking the center for "spewing its poison in the faces of the Palestinians."
The Peres Center for Peace promotes coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians through sports events and Peace Matches, where mixed Israeli-Palestinian football teams play against top international teams like Real Madrid and others. Internationally acclaimed athletes and other celebrities act as Ambassadors for the center and help promote awareness of these peace-promoting initiatives. The writer of the article in the Palestinian daily describes the participation of the international sports stars and their visits to Israel as anti-Palestinian activities.
One such athlete criticized in the article is Argentinian footballer Maradona, who was criticized for being "one of the first athletes to don a skullcap and pray at the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall), shedding crocodile tears in occupied Jerusalem in 1986."
The article also includes general hate speech, referring to Israel as "the Zionist entity," writing that "the Zionist octopus' arms reach out in every direction," and slandering Israel by claiming that "the Zionist policy of oppression... has not limited itself to destruction of [sports] facilities and the murder of athletes."
In addition, the words Israel and Tel Aviv throughout the article appear in quotation marks as an indicator of non-recognition of Israel.
That the 'Palestinians' could be so viciously critical of the Peres Center for Peace - and for the unremarkable act of inviting sports stars to play against joint Israeli-'Palestinian' teams - shows how hopeless the mission of the Peres Center for Peace really is. There is no hope of peace with the 'Palestinians.' Israelis have long since been made ready for the prospect of peace with the 'Palestinians,' while the 'Palestinians' continue to imbibe Jew-hatred. For us to make 'peace' with these people would be committing suicide.
