Visa and FIFA sponsoring Egyptian blood libel

The Eretz Yisrael blog quotes a translation from MEMRI of a new blood libel published in Egypt (Hat Tip: Jack W).
In another stage of the Passover celebrations, [the Jews] combined the preparation of matzas and the offering up of sacrifices with their enmity towards non-Jews, especially Christians, and mixed the blood of one of their victims into the matza [dough. This was done] especially on Passover, Purim and circumcision rituals. They also used blood in acts of sorcery and witchcraft…

…The draining of the victims’ blood is done in [several ways. One method is] by means of a barrel lined with needles. This is a barrel the size of the victim’s body, with sharp needles that stick into all his limbs when he is placed in it, so that his blood slowly trickles down from every part of his body. This entails excruciating torment, which gives pleasure to the Jews who become drunk with joy at the sight of the blood dripping from the victim’s [body] to the bottom of the barrel and into a container placed there to collect it. [Another method] is to slaughter the victim like a sheep and collecting his blood in a vessel, or else slashing the victim’s veins in numerous places so that the blood flows from the wounds into the vessels. Then the blood is handed to a rabbi who prepares a matza laced with human blood in order to please the Jewish god, Jehovah, who thirsts for blood.
The Jews can rejoice in their holidays only if they eat matza laced with the blood of non-Jews.

...

…The Jewish crimes which came to light throughout history and which were investigated and tried are a drop in the ocean compared to the Jewish crimes that no one knows about. The thousands of children and others who vanish around the world are probably victims of Jewish rituals. Their blood surely lies in Jewish stomachs along with the holiday matzas.

...

As part of the efforts to deny [the Jewish crimes], Jewish Americans wrote stories about vampires in the 1970s, in order to disassociate themselves from the accusation of sucking human blood and deceive [the mechanisms of] justice. During that period they spent millions on Dracula films, in order to deceive world public opinion. They claimed that those who slaughter children and adults and suck their blood are lunatics and that all this has nothing to do with them and their religious rituals. On February 14, 1964, the [Egyptian] magazine Al-Musawwar published a story about vampires in Colombia after many [Colombian] children had been slaughtered to shed their blood. Neither the magazine nor the investigators in Colombia dreamed that the vampires might be Jews, rather than [people who] sell blood to hospitals.
Nasty stuff.... But what's truly shocking about this is what the Eretz Yisrael blog discovered about its sponsorship.
We know from past experience that such naked antisemitism in Arab media cannot be solved by merely publicizing it. Most Arabs are not even aware that there is anything offensive about describing Jews as murderous bloodsuckers.

However, a major advertiser for Al Kibar is Visa, with this ad popping up on most articles and shown on the main page:
The ad is the one at the top of this post.

Given FIFA's past history, we can't be too surprised to see them involved in this. But Visa?

Newest 'Palestinian' blood libel: Jews brought pigs and donkeys to al-Aqsa mosque

The latest blood libel by the 'Palestinians' comes from an Egyptian web site, which is claiming that the Jews brought pigs and donkeys to al-Aqsa mosque.
Which, translated, reads:-

A number of young Israeli desecration parts close to the Al-Aqsa mosque, when they had carried a range of animals, including pigs, donkeys and goats, and placed them near the mosque during the celebration of Easter...

The newspaper pointed out that a group of young Israelis and put a group of animals inside the courtyard of the mosque, during the performance of Jewish prayer in front of the Wailing Wall "Wailing", but Israeli police managed to control them and expelled these animals out of the mosque.
That wouldn't be religious hatred incitement?

Besides being factually incorrect?
Now what did happen, on the eve of Passover, was that Jews tried to bring a sheep to the Temple Mount for the Passover sacrifice, But the people and the sheep were turned away long before they got there.

You don't think the Arab Muslims would make up something like this, do you?

Meanwhile in Egypt, 'Israel has vastly surpassed Hitler's deeds'

An Egyptian weekly has published a virulently anti-Semitic article with blood libels against every Israeli leader from Ben Gurion through Netanyahu.
In its August 28, 2011 issue, the Egyptian weekly October published on its front page an article titled "The New Nazis: The Black Record of the Israeli Generals," by 'Ibrahim 'Abd Al-Ghani, which contains virulent incitement against Israel and Israelis. The article states that all Israel's leaders, from Ben Gurion to Netanyahu, have been filled with a murderous hatred for Arabs instilled in them from youth, and have surpassed the Nazi regime in their cruelty and massacres. It is riddled with historical errors and inaccuracies, and is accompanied by an image of Netanyahu as Hitler giving the Nazi salute (see below [top left. CiJ]).

It should be noted that although it cites statements by Holocaust denier Dr. Rif'at Sayyed Ahmad, the article does not focus on antisemitism or on Holocaust denial; rather, its main theme is demonization of Israel by attributing Nazi characteristics to it and by accusing it of emulating and even surpassing Hitler's regime.

Aren't you glad we gave Egypt every last inch of Sinai in exchange for 'peace'? Anyone want to take bets on how long the 'peace' lasts?

Confirmed: Pascal Avrahami HY"D was murdered by Egyptians

Well, doesn't this shed an interesting light on that misguided apology to the Egyptians. Haaretz reports that IDF special forces officer Pascal Avrahami (left in the picture, half an hour before his death) was murdered by Egyptians.
At least three of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on the road to Eilat last Thursday were Egyptian citizens, according to a report in the Egyptian daily Al-Masry Al-Yaoum.

The report, based on a probe carried out by the Egyptian security forces, says that the three were members of an extremist Islamic group. One of them had escaped from an Egyptian prison during the revolution against Hosni Mubarak.

...

Haaretz has learned that 12 terrorists, in four groups, carried out the attack. The groups were dispersed over an area 12 kilometers long. At least some of the attackers wore brown uniforms, similar to those used by the Egyptian Army.

The terrorists also waved white handkerchiefs to fool Israeli motorists, pretending to come in peace. They opened fire at an Israel Defense Forces helicopter in a bid to shoot it down.

...

The incident involving the Egyptians occurred later in the afternoon, while the chief of staff and the defense minister held a press conference north of Eilat. An IDF force rushed to an area where there had been more shooting. Egyptian soldiers were seen holding three men at gunpoint.

When the Israeli officers asked for the captives to be handed over, an Egyptian officer claimed that they were Egyptian soldiers. At some point the troops came under fire, and a sniper killed the anti-terrorist police officer Pascal Avrahami.
Read the whole thing.

Vic at Fresno Zionism has an eyewitness account of Avrahami's death.
Here is the story as I heard it, attributed to eyewitnesses: the police counterterrorism officers were observing the Egyptians across the border at a range of several hundred meters. It was late in the day, and the Egyptians were preparing to leave their position, taking apart equipment, etc. Suddenly, several bursts of automatic fire came from the Egyptian side. The Israelis rushed to take cover and return fire, and at this point Avrahami was hit. No one else was wounded on the Israeli side.

The bullet that hit him was an ordinary Kalashnikov slug, not a round from a sniper weapon. At that range, it was a very lucky shot.
Read the whole thing.

This much is now clear: Israel apologized too quickly to Egypt and should make no further apologies for this incident.

Egypt claims Mossad plotted to harm Egyptian fertility

The Egyptian government newspaper al-Ahram has accused the Mossad of attempting to harm Egyptian fertility.
Israeli citizen Ofir Harrari, recently accused by Egypt of spying for Israel, was allegedly involved in a complicated scheme intended to harm Egyptian reproduction abilities, Egypt's official state paper Al-Ahram has claimed.

Harrari, accused by Egypt of being an agent of the Mossad, is set be tried in absentia on charges of "spying for a foreign country with the purpose of harming Egyptian national interest," news agency MENA reported on Sunday.

Jordanian Ibrahim abu-Zaid, a telecoms engineer reportedly involved in the affair as well, was arrested in Egypt.

"According to the public prosecutor's office's investigation, 'Mossad agent Ofir Harrari' instructed Jordanian Ibrahim abu-Zaid to set up a company in Egypt which would exclusively import an Israeli hair product, for both men and women, which causes infertility. This in order to completely destroy Egyptian reproduction abilities," Al-Ahram states.

The report also asserted that the Mossad supposedly required that abu-Zaid open communications companies in Sudan and Libya, so as to enable Israel to follow communication traffic in both countries.
Let them name the product. Of course, they can't.

The picture at the top is American-Israeli Ilan Grapel, who was arrested for spying in June in Cairo.
