More evidence of how 'terribly' Israel treats 'Palestinians'

UNRWA did a little bragging yesterday.
Let's compare that to the (illiteracy rate in other countries in the region, as reported by UNESCO in 2015:

Bahrain - 4.3% (all) 3.1% (males) 6.3% (females)
Egypt - 24.8% (all) 16.8% (males) 32.7% (females)
Iran - 13.2% (all) 8.8% (males) 17.5% (females)
Iraq - 20.3% (all) 14.3% (males) 26.3% (females)
Jordan - 3.3% (all) 1.9% (males) 4.8% (females)
Lebanon - 6.1% (all) 4.0% (males) 8.2% (females)
Oman - 5.2% (all) 3.1% (males) 10.0% (females)
Qatar - 2.2% (all) 2.1% (males) 2.7% (females)
Saudi Arabia - 5.3% (all) 3.3% (males) 8.9% (females)
Syria - 13.6% (all) 8.3% (males) 19% (females)
Tunisia - 18.2% (all) 10.4% (males) 25.8% (females)
UAE - 6.2% (all) 6.9% (males) 4.2% (females)
'Palestine' - 3.3% (all) 1.5% (females) 5.2% (females)

Israel was not reported by UNESCO, but in 2011 a non-UNESCO report had our overall illiteracy rate at 2.2%.

Conclusion: 'Palestine's illiteracy rate is comparable with Israel and the Gulf countries, i.e. with the relatively wealthier countries of the region. Israel isn't holding them down and they are not exactly 'suffering.' Shocking conclusion. (NOT!).

Bonus - the classrooms pictured in those tweets are MUCH nicer classrooms than those that my two youngest children (now 7th and 9th grades) study in. Because the 'international community' is obsessed with the 'Palestinians.'
