It's official: Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) endorses Marco Rubio
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, the first black Republican Senator in the deep South since reconstruction, has endorsed Senator Marco Rubio (Florida) for the Republican nomination for President. This came to me by email today.
Israel,
Our
nation’s future is on the line this election. We must nominate a strong
conservative leader who will fight at all costs for our country
and put our citizen’s needs before their own.
And Israel, we need the person that can defeat
Hillary Clinton next fall to be our nominee.
That’s why today, three weeks before the
all-important primary in South Carolina, I’m standing up for and endorsing Marco Rubio.

Israel, I spent a lot of time thinking and praying over this decision. This is an
important election, and I did not take this decision lightly.
There
are a number of good
candidates on our side, but I am voting for Marco Rubio as our next
president because he will not only restore our great nation -- he will
take us
into a New American Century.
I’m proud
to stand with Marco as part of the next generation of
conservatives. Marco has a proven conservative record of standing up to
the Washington establishment and pursuing conservative solutions for the
21st
Century. And that’s exactly the type of leader we need in the White
House next year.

Let’s support our next president
of the United States: Marco Rubio.
Tim Scott
Republican Senator from
South Carolina
In my not so humble opinion, Marco Rubio is one of the two best candidates for Israel in this election (Ted Cruz is the other).
Hmmm.

Are you sure Carl? I feel like he is Democrat-Lite. I used to like him, but some of his views are too left for my liking.
Carl, Marco Rubio talks a good game, but he is Mr. Amnesty for illegal aliens and the guy carrying the banner for the GOP establishment and the donor class.
If he gets the GOP nomination, he will lose in the general election. A lot of Republicans will simply sit home just like 3 million of them did in 2012 did when Mitt Romney ran, for other reasons.
Much of the Republican base no longer trusts the GOP establishment in the least and the anger level is palpable. What's going on here now isn't so much an election as a rebellion, and Rubio is on the wrong side of it.
Either Ted Cruz or Donald Trump would be far more likely to win the general election, and either would be would be better for America and for Israel.
Actually, I assume the current friction between them is just politics and will be swept aside once the primaries are over ala' Reagan and Bush. The two of them running together would make a tremendously strong ticket.
Marco is an establishment Republican who will go along with all the nonsense currently being used against Israel. He was a faithful member of the group of 8 and is in favor of massive Muslim immigration to the United States.
