Emergency Committee for Israel: 'Why is Donald Trump always kissing up to dictators?'
The Emergency Committee for Israel has released its first online advertisement in a while. It's directed at Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump. Here's the press release:
Today the Emergency Committee for Israel released "Trump Loves Dictators," a 30-second ad highlighting Donald Trump's disturbing affection for anti-American dictators. The ad will appear online and on television in primary states this week.
In recent months, Trump has praised or apologized for Saddam Hussein, Bashar Assad, Vladimir Putin, and Benito Mussolini, and previously he praised the Chinese government for carrying out the Tiananmen Square massacre.
William Kristol, Chairman of the Emergency Committee for Israel, said: "If you're pro-Israel, you shouldn't be pro-Trump. Apologists for dictators aren't reliable friends of the Jewish state."
Let's go to the videotape.
Hmmm.
If you follow me on Twitter, you know already that I'm not very keen on Donald Trump....

While Trump is far from my first choice as the Republican nominee for president I will take him any day over Clinton or Sanders. Clinton is the most probable Democratic candidate and she has proven to surround herself with advisers who are far from being pro-Israel, actually they anti-Israel.
Further there is a religious connection to Israel with his daughter having converted to Orthodoxy. Yes this is not a guarantee but it is better than Clinton's daughter's non-conversion in her marriage.
Lastly, and this is somewhat of a mea culpa, neo-conservatives need to realize that not every nation or culture is adaptable to democracy with the same rights assigned to the majority passing on to a minority. Dictatorships are sometimes more preferred if the alternative is anarchy. Please see Libya.
For us here in Europe, it would be
a blessing (understatement) if Saddam
and Ghaddafi still would be in power.
I agree strongly with Cyril
