The difference between us and them: Mohammed Abu Khadr designated a terror victim

The screen cap is from a web site that is dedicated to terror victims, who are to be honored as part of Wednesday's Memorial Day activities. It is the page honoring Mohammed Abu Khadr (link in Hebrew) who was dragged into the Jerusalem Forest and set on fire last summer, apparently by Jews.

It would be nice if his parents showed up to the ceremony honoring the terror victims. But I'm not holding my breath. It would be nice if his parents felt that they could show up at the ceremony without being ostracized by their neighbors. But I'm not sure they care about that.

Compare that with how the 'Palestinian Authority' relates to terrorists and their victims.

'Nuff said.

His parents are remained fairly consistent in their behavior throughout. They requested that their son's name be removed from the memorial because "they don't feel Israeli".To their credit (maybe) they also rejected National Insurance benefits. However, given his parents rather blatant (dis)loyalties (including some really classy insults to the hundreds of evil settlers and other Jewish Israelis who showed up--despite needing to hire armed guards to protect their lives--in Beit Hanina to be menachem avel), I'd want to see whether they rejected the benefits in favor of a better package from "elsewhere".
