Breaking: Hebrew U Prof fired, banned from campus in settlement of sexual harassment claim - UPDATED
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem has reached a settlement with a 'senior lecturer' (whose name is not disclosed in the University President's letter) that bans him from teaching or counseling students, bans him from the Mount Scopus campus for a year and a half, and prohibits him from participating in academic conferences on the campus for five years (link in Hebrew). The professor also agreed to pay 'significant compensation' to the student whom he allegedly harassed.
The student has agreed not to make further complaints against the professor (which presumably includes criminal complaints).
Hmmm.
Hat Tip: Anonymous Hebrew U Student.
