White House Chief of Staff calls Israel's existence 'occupation'
On Monday, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, who was representing his boss, told the J Street convention that Israel must end 'more than 50 years of occupation (Hat Tip: Eliyahu P).'McDonough then described the alternate to a two-state agreement: a one-state solution based on unilateral annexation and abandonment of democratic rights for Palestinians that, he warned, “would only contribute to Israel’s further isolation.” In other words, he said, more divestment, boycotts and efforts to delegitimize Israel in the international community.
“An occupation that has lasted more than 50 years must end,” McDonough said, one of several times he brought the crowd to its feet.

The "occupation" is nonsense in any case, but clearly he was just rounding up. If he'd really meant all of Israel he'd have said 60 years at least.
I think they just have a problem with:
- simple math and/or
- ME history
This Badministration is simple unbelievable.
And he said "more than 50 years." So, the JStreet types and the Left in Israel, who seemingly also consider the country of Israel as an "occupation"... I'm figuring that, since it is the U.S. elite and the Israeli elite (unfortunately, including a bunch of the Start Up Nation people), they have a thorough evacuation plan for their adherents.. Which makes this delegitimization program a massive WAR ON THE POOR, because the Israeli (of all religions) will not have the resources or connections to get out and make a living somewhere else. The BRILLIANT LEFT at work. (BTW I still vote for the establishment of COUNTIES and for a Land Title County Clerk system. Haha, since I'm not Israeli, I don't have a vote!! Just the peanut gallery.)
you misquoted him, as the official record has "almost 50 years"

No. The ambassador of Israel to the US referred to 50 years in a video interview so it means that people are just rounding off.
