Percentage-wise (number of exiles compared with home country's population), I'd have to guess that this is the largest diaspora in the world.

How sad. And I'll let you in on a secret. The biggest reason Israelis leave isn't any of the reasons the Haaretz article gives. It's this. (And the 2013 number was much better than usual. Usually it's sometime in August).
