Two hour humanitarian cease fire but only in Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City - UPDATED X3
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a two-hour localized humanitarian cease fire in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City. The cease fire is in effect from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.Despite Hamas claims to the contrary, Israel will accept a 2-hour humanitarian ceasefire in the Shejaiya neighborhood in order to allow rescue services to reach dead and wounded Palestinians.
The truce will last from 1:30-3:30 p.m., and is limited only to Shejaiya.
Hamas passed the request to Israel through the Red Cross, and said earlier that Israel rejected the offer.
Palestinian media reports that dozens were killed overnight in fierce fighting in the Gaza City neighborhood.
Though we agreed to the Red Cross' request for a cease fire in Shuja'iya until 15:30, Hamas has not stopped shooting from Shuja'iya.
