Report: Senior commander of Hamas rocket arsenal dead, Hamas denies it
A report on Israel's Channel 10 television indicates that the IAF has killed Ayman Siam, the head of Hamas' rocket arsenal. Hamas is denying the report.Hamas is denying a Channel 10 report that the Israel Defense Forces killed a senior Hamas operative who headed the Islamist organization's vast arsenal of rockets.
According to Channel 10, a joint Shin Bet-IDF operation resulted in the killing of Ayman Siam, one of the most wanted Hamas figures.
Channel 10 is reporting that Siam was killed in a strike as he was driving in a vehicle in the southern Gaza Strip.Arutz Sheva adds:
Hamas's "military wing" Ezzadine al-Kassam, denied the report.
During Operation Cast Lead, in January 2009, reports also indicated that Israel had killed Siam. Those reports turned out to be false.
"He is continuing in his acts of jihad. We call on the media to be precise and not to rely on Israel's lies."
