State Department: 'Palestinians' lied

The State Department is denying a claim made by a 'Palestinian' official to AFP that 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen and US Secretary of State John FN Kerry will meet in London on Wednesday to discuss reviving the 'peace process.'
"There is no meeting planned," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters.
Earlier on Monday, AFP cited a Palestinian official as saying Abbas would discuss the state of the failed Israeli-Palestinian peace talks with Kerry in a final attempt to salvage the situation.
"The meeting will discuss a possible resumption of negotiations with Israel," the official said. "It could be the last attempt by Kerry to revive negotiations," the Palestinian official said.
It sounds like the 'Palestinians' are in a panic because the world is not blaming Israel alone for the talks' collapse. Even their good friends the Euroweenies said they were 'extremely concerned' about the talks' collapse, but did not single Israel out for blame.
EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels on Monday said they were "extremely concerned" about recent developments in the Israeli-Palestinian diplomatic process, but did not single out for blame either side for the breakdown of the talks.
As such, a concern articulated over the last few weeks by numerous Israeli officials – that no matter what happened, if the talks broke down the Europeans would blame Israel – failed to materialize. One diplomatic official in Jerusalem said that the Europeans understand that the issue is complex, and that Fatah-Hamas unity accord further complicated the situation, making it difficult to blame Israel for the current impasse.
Hmmm.
