Freedom of speech, Israeli style
It's come to this.In March 2014, a resident of Jerusalem has been convicted of sexual harassment for calling a woman 'loose' (the word 'slut' - used in a different article - is not an accurate translation).
In February 2014, calling someone a Nazi was deemed a criminal act.
But from 1948-2014, it has been deemed free speech to call someone a parasite, a leech, a bloodsucker, an extortionist, a vicious bacteria, a cancer in the nation's heart, a milker of the public treasury, an evader and a Khomenist.
I didn't translate all of them, but those are just some of the names Haredim are called in Israel.
And if I posted this on Facebook (where I cannot control the comments), I'm sure I would have dozens of explanations as to why they deserve it.
Something is really wrong here.

Calling a specific woman a ho she could sue.
Calling a specific haredi a parasite and he can also sue.
referring to haredim as parasites or to soldier girls as ho's is freedom of speech. That is the difference.

This is a sick country.
We need a doctor. Perhaps a neurosurgeon.
