'The hell I'll free Pollard'

US President Barack Hussein Obama has informed Israel that under no circumstances will he release convicted Israeli eavesdropper Jonathan Pollard, even though the US - including under Obama - did the same thing to just about every other country in the world. Israel had suggested releasing Pollard in exchange for Israel's release of 'Israeli Arab' terrorists to the 'Palestinian Authority.'
US administration officials clarified to their Israeli counterparts that there is "no chance" that US President Barack Obama would be willing to free Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard in return for the release of Israeli-Arab prisoners, Israel Radio reported on Wednesday.

Israeli officials said there was a possibility the fourth and final group of prisoners, whose releases are seen as a gesture to Palestinians on behalf of Israel to aide peace talks, will not be released because the issue "has served its purpose."
Do I smell a showdown over this? Unfortunately, it may be too late for Pollard.
Efi Lahav, the head of the Council for Pollard, said that "as someone who has visited Pollard in the US jail, in the reality I've seen, I can say that Pollard's health is deteriorating and the clock has begun to tick...it might have run out already. I appreciate all you have done and what you are doing... and the Knesset members and Israel for the support."
Maybe we should come up with evidence that Pollard was an illegal immigrant. Then Obama would feel sorry for him.
