Rabbi Aharon Feldman apologizes to Rabbi Dov Lipman

After being shown the Times of Israel article that I lined here, Rabbi Aharon Feldman, the Rosh Yeshiva of Baltimore's Ner Israel Rabbinical College, has apologized to Yesh Atid MK and Ner Israel alumnus Rabbi Dov Lipman. Rabbi Feldman says "I never called him a Rasha (wicked person) (Hat Tip: Soccer Dad via Baltimore Jewish Life).

Let's go to the videotape.

There's also a fascinating exchange between Lipman and Mishpacha Magazine's Contributing Editor Yisrael Besser here.

Your blurb is inaccurate: Rav Feldman said that he initially called him a Rasha, but after the letter feels that he isn't a "Rasha" because he is acting l"Sheim Shamayim, but is misguided.

It's unfortunate, in this day and age, to have to witness religious leaders continually trying to turn back the clock to an age where they need to give the donkeys a rest. As a South African orthodox Jew, I have been witness to pupils of Rov Feldman making unecessary racist remarks on South African FaceBook sites, and telling me I'm evil and I hate Israel as a first response. It's only later, when they find out that I'm a moderate that they tone it down. It's like they're conditioned, or something. Rabbis, please stick to your prime codec!
