Poll: American public wants out of the 'peace process'

This just might be a big reason why President Obama says he's coming here to listen and not bringing new ideas to restart the 'peace process.' A Washington Post - ABC News poll shows that the American people have had it with the 'peace process.'

Please note the following:

1. The overwhelming majority of the American people who have an opinion sympathize more with Israel (55-9%).

2. While 21% feel that Obama is putting too little pressure on Israel, 34% feel that he is putting too little pressure on the 'Palestinians.'

3. More than twice as many people feel that Obama is putting too much pressure on Israel as feel that he is putting too much pressure on the 'Palestinians.'

4. This is the key finding. In 2002, Americans felt that making peace should be left to the parties by a 54-42% majority. That feeling has now become an overwhelming 69-26%.

The American people have had enough. So have the Israeli people. It's time to stop pampering the 'Palestinians.' That's why the President says he's not coming here to put pressure on either side, but only to listen.

JPost reports that the survey was conducted by telephone March 7-10, 2013, among a random sample of 1,001 adults.
