Like he had a say in that, it was compulsory. He could be a heretic and an apostate for supporting the Vatican II council on how Jews are our "big brothers" and other ecumenical crap, but he wasn't a nazi and didn't helped exterminate Jews, he was a jsut boy, unlike the judenrate who herded other jews into the extermination camps, you fucking moron. It's bad enough you have enough enemies among the media and the muhammedan ocean that surrounds your tiny country, you don't need more enemies, you imbecile.
The man then was a child and membership in the Hitler Youth was compulsory under penalty of death.
Judge the man fairly!
Carl, it is seldom that there are any comments on your posts, certainly not as many as your posts deserve, either positive or negative. I have submitted a number of what I have believed to be reasonable comments - and none has been published. Why?
Ratzinger, like many other German teenagers, was forcibly conscripted. Towards the end of the war, he deserted. He was a *victim* of fascism, not a fascist.
It is typical of above 3 comments to act as if nothing has happened in the intervening years; between the pope's youth and his deciding to stand down as pope. Firstly the verbal abuse, which indicates you have touched a raw nerve, that for some is a taboo subject. Secondly, all the speeches the pope made to the "palestinians" "Abbas thanks Pope for supporting Palestinian UN bid" Haaretz "Pontiff says he wants Gaza strip blockade lifted" So pals can murder more Jews? Guardian "Benedict XVI acknowledged the suffering of the Palestinian people following the establishment of Israel in 1948." (Telegraph) NEVER any mention of the vile murders of Jews, so obviously he thinks it is justified! "His papacy made it clear that its new teachings about Jews still pose deep challenges to Catholic self-understanding" (forward.com)Still the lies and blood libels he cannot give up, the killing of a Jew, Jesus, by Jews, when it was the Romans who crucified Jesus and Muslims who carry on that barbaric tradition today, crucifying Christians, now! Enough said.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. You can contact me at: IsraelMatzav at gmail dot com
