Truly revolting video of Ahmadinejad meeting with Neturei Karta in New York
This video is sickening and I'm sorry that it may ruin a lot of your holidays. It's a video of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad meeting with representatives of Neturei Karta in New York. Simply disgusting.Let's go to the videotape (Hat Tip: Will).
There's so much wrong with this video and what he's saying, that I cannot begin to explain it to those who aren't well versed in Talmudic study (particularly Kethuboth 110-111). But what he's doing is endangering millions of Jews in Israel and elsewhere, and that is totally forbidden.
None of the other Jewish anti-Zionist groups (Satmar and Munkatch come to mind) would have pulled a stunt like this. Simply beyond belief.

A photograph of the Iranian president holding up his identity card during elections in March 2008 clearly shows his family has Jewish roots.

The short note scrawled on the card suggests his family changed its name to Ahmadinejad when they converted to embrace Islam after his birth.
The Sabourjians traditionally hail from Aradan, Mr Ahmadinejad's birthplace, and the name derives from "weaver of the Sabour", the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia. The name is even on the list of reserved names for Iranian Jews compiled by Iran's Ministry of the Interior.
Experts last night suggested Mr Ahmadinejad's track record for hate-filled attacks on Jews could be an overcompensation to hide his past.
Kethuboth 110-111 talks about what? the holiness of the land? What's your point Zionist idol worshipper? or that he is endangering Jews just even though many Jews are anti Zionist from a religious viewpoint?

CaptH, Talmud 110 and 110 is not about idolatry, it has been interpreted over the centuries as meaning to settle the land, and by other others who believe that God will do it, when the time is right. ie. Not by conquest and war. That way, they're on par with the US:) genocide of natives to steal land.
If this the moral code of the 'light unto the nation' Israel, then it means that has already come about. Any of the other genocidal nations can claim to be 'light unto the nations'.
Regardless of which Talmudic interpretation you believe, neither belief mandates the forcible uprooting of people living in Israel. There is nothing in Torah to support that, and most certainly Jesus whom you claim to follow would not have approved of what Ben Gurions crowd did.
Israel's redemption was meant to be a light, not a blight to the nations. So the Neturai Kerta don't see Ahmedinejad as a threat. He wont' attack Israel even when Iran goes nuclear. They know that. You know that. :)

Most Jews have always felt a strong attraction and devotion to the Land of Israel. This is traceable to the covenant made between G-d and Abraham in which the Land of Israel was promised to Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 12). To live on the Land became a requirement of Jewish law. “A person who dwells in the Diaspora is like one who has no G-d,” says the Talmud. In the same Talmudic tractate there is a complementary statement,: "Whoever lives outside of Israel may be regarded as one who worships Idols" (Ketubot 110a, 111b).
The great thirteenth century Spanish scholar Moses ben Nachman (Nachmanides) supported the talmudic position when he affirmed that settling in Israel is a positive Torah commandment. He himself spent the last three years of his life in Palestine.
Throughout the centuries individuals, and occassionally small groups, have taken the talmudic caveat seriously and have returned to the Holy Land. Nevertheless, this activity, known as aliya, meaning "going up to Israel", did not take on great significance until 1948, after the formation of the State of Israel.
However, even as far back as talmudic times, many have opposed the concept of aliya on grounds that it interferes with the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Jeremiah said, “They [Israel, the defeated nation] shall be carried to Babylon and shall remain there [in the Diaspora] until the day I [G-d] remember them” (Jeremiah 27:22). To Rabbi Judah this meant, “Whoever goes up [returns] from Babylon [the Diaspora] to Israel transgresses the positive commandment of the Torah” (Ketubot 111a). G-d must be the instrument through which Jews will return to Israel.
Today, a considerable number of ultra-Orthodox Jews continue to accept the view of Rabbi Judah, believing, as Jeremiah implied, that only through divine intervention can the Children of Israel be returned to Israel. Typical of those who support this position are members of the Satmar Chassidic sect, which originated in Hungary. In 1953 Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum (1888-1979) became the leader of the ultra-Orthodox Neturei Karta community in Jerusalem, but he spent little time there. Although he visited the community every few years, he spent most of his time in his Brooklyn headquarters.

The Iranian regime has been making anti Israel noises because Israel is an occupying power, that is not anti-semitism. Israel is occupying Palestinian land, and sooner or later it will face war, if it doesn’t end. If not Iran, then probably the US. The US won’t support Israel’s occupation forever. Certainly not after the Middle East demographics change.
You know very well that if Iran were to attack Israel with nuclear weapons, Israel can retaliate likewise and the world would be on Israels side. Ahmedinejad isn’t the real power in his country anyway. There have been rumors in the past about Libyan leader Moammar Qaddafi's Jewish roots, and now it seems to be confirmed. Israel National News TV met with Gita Boaron, who claims that the Libyan dictator is indeed Jewish and that she is a distant cousin.
Qaddafi’s grandmother is my grandmother’s sister," explained Boaron. "His grandmother is my father’s grandmother. She was Jewish, became Muslim and married the town sheikh. She had children and he’s her grandson so he’s considered Jewish because his mother was born to a Jewish mother. So it means he’s Jewish.”
Boaron, who heard the story about Qaddafi's Jewish roots from her mother as she was growing up, said that her family has never even considered getting closer to Qaddafi, since "There’s no place like Israel," as she put it.
She noted that it is only recently that Qaddafi has really become anti-Jewish.
"He always loved the Jews and didn’t do anything bad to them," she said. "The moment he started to speak against the Jews, I said: ‘Just wait. He’ll get what’s coming to him.’ Two weeks later the protests started there.”
Boaron noted the historically good connections that Qaddafi had with the Jewish people. "They say he had connections with the Jews. His son is going to marry a Jewish woman, maybe he already married her. It was in the media, that his son married a Jewish woman from Italy or France."
She described the current situation in the Arab world as "chaos. One eats the other. May they eat one another and not us."

No, he won't. Because to do so would mean he'd have to explain the dominant anti Zionist position over the centuries, and today and how it contradicts religous values. Ketubim 110 and 111 talks of settling the land, not expelling people and then using Islamophobia as an excuse to continue immorality, theft and stealing.
