This is entirely standard coverage for CNN. The universal and only coverage of Israel will open with a headline about "Israel attacks Militants in Gaza.....etc Killing 3....."
It's usually down around the 3rd or 4th graph that they bother to mention Gaza aggression, rockets and so on. By which time 70% of the readers have moved to another story.
This is entirely typical of the New York Times as well. The BBC and The Guardian rarely mention Arab attacks at all and usually, again down near the middle of the article, mention something in passing about how "Israeli officials claim there were rocket attacks from Gaza"....because, we're told on the sly of course that all Jews lie and this too is a lie because they're bloodthirsty savages etc etc etc.
You can map this sort of thing out with nearly all their coverage. Back in the al Aqsa war CNN was loathe to call suicide bus bombers 'terrorism' or that an attack has even occurred. They preferred to note that 'a bus exploded'.....apparently no one knew why but the evil racist Jews blame this on the poor peaceful peaceloving Palestinians of peace too.
Note also that in every attack where some terrorist group claims credit for it, CNN rarely covers that and even less often writes the coverage as if they believe those claims are true.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004. You can contact me at: IsraelMatzav at gmail dot com
