Knesset speaker slams Obama for 'too little, too late'

I've met him in person (in the speaker's office) - he's really not a hothead. But President Obama's platform shenanigans have struck a raw chord with Rivlin, and he wasn't satisfied with Wednesday night's 'vote' putting Jerusalem and God back in the platform.
"I have no doubt that [US President Barack] Obama put Jerusalem back in his party's platform out of political and electoral considerations and because of the sharp criticism from Israel and the US," Rivlin stated.

...

The Knesset Speaker said that the DNC did not remove Jerusalem from the platform "by mistake or because of forgetfulness," and the change was not a coincidence that can be explained away by not paying attention.

"This is a problematic sign, indicating the gradual reduction of the American government's strategic commitment to Israel," he explained.
Well, yes. But perhaps on January 20 'American government' and 'Obama administration' will no longer be synonymous.

Is Ruby Rivlin Likud? Does he read Israel Matzav? A suggestion if anyone does... if he talks about the US/Israel relationship... in order to keep America as the kind of place that Israelis can alternate to for business, etc. I would like to see a two-way support system. Lots and lots of Israelis cycle through the US and make lots of money from the economy. I've know a bunch of them and it has been a joy getting to know them. The two-way aspect would involve the Israelis evaluating their US funding sources, withdrawing from Obama's Green $lu$h funding source. The alt.energy $$ are only half the equation; the other half is the EPA, etc. demolishing our existing energy production. Participating in this scheme is not a friendly act. Many in America have walked away from various forms of this political manipulation through $$. It can be done courteously to reduce the blowback. It can be done successfully.
