Turks seethe over Obama photo
This isn't the first time President Obama has gotten into trouble over a picture taken while he was talking on the phone. See above. You would think that the morons in the White House would have learned by now....This time it's Turkey that is seething at President Obama because the White House released a picture of the President on the phone with his BFF, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, while holding a Hank Aaron autographed baseball bat.
"The photo reveals from whom our Prime Minister receives orders to rule the country," Metin Lutfi Baydar, a lawmaker with Turkey's main opposition party the Republican People's Party (CHP), said in a statement.I hope it totally screws up their relationship. Heh.
CHP vice president Umut Oran asked through parliament if Erdogan had seen the picture and if he would take action against "an implicit insult to Turkey and its citizens".
Some newspapers took a more lighthearted view, with columnist Ahmet Hakan of Hurriyet writing: "We need to do something – retaliation seems to be the most reasonable method."
"Our prime minister needs to hold something in his hand as he's calling Obama," he added, suggesting as possible candidates a slipper, a belt or a rolling pin.
White House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said in a written statement on Friday that her department had seen the commentary and speculation about the photo in the Turkish media.

Why are the Turks seething? And if a Hank Aaron baseball bat gets them upset, then I think that it is their problem. You do not chose your national sports heroes based on what another country thinks (the Turks do not even play baseball)
As someone commented elsewhere about the pic:
All bat, no balls.
Everything is a grave insult upon all Muslims and Islam in general. Turkey is the Joan Crawford of nations. No Wire Hangers.
