The guy who wouldn't finish off Hezbullah or Hamas says not to strike Iran
The guy who told the world that Israel is 'tired of fighting,' who tried to run a hands-off war with Hezbullah and failed, and who lacked the you-know-what's to finish off Hamas when he had them on the run, now says there's 'no reason' for Israel to attack Iran. And he actually expects people to take him seriously."There is no reason whatsoever for Israel to act in the near future, not in the coming weeks and not in the coming months," said Olmert, speaking at the Ono Academic College. "That is not to say that Iran isn't thinking of non-conventional weapons... That said, Israeli [military] actions are not necessary within the coming future."And we'll be better off if God forbid Obama is reelected and we're facing the reality of an Iranian nuclear weapon? You have got to be kidding.
"Discussions over Iran's nuclear program do not reflect reality," added Olmert. "We do not have to be hysterical. We have to calm down."
The former prime minister said that the Israel-US relationship is of paramount importance for Israel, and slammed leadership for driving a wedge between the two. "Pressure coming from Israel is unhelpful when the United States is two and a half months before an election," Olmert said.
"Where will the planes come from [that Israel would use to strike Iran]? Where will the other tools come from? Will they come from here, or from somewhere else? Who will help us?" Olmert asked, hinting at the importance of US support.
Olmert is a loser who has never been able to finish what he starts. He should go away gracefully and keep his mouth shut. Otherwise, people ought to start pulling lines about his ineptitude out of the first half of the Winograd Report.

Maybe he's looking for a job with Carter and Mandela as an "Elder".
Would that make him the "Elder of Zion"?
Olmert was a nightmare. Please let's not revisit him. Who cares what he says? He was hardly even relevant when he was PM.
