There are no politics at the Olympics!

I won't wish you all a good week, because on Tisha b'Av we don't wish anyone a good week or a good anything else. It's a day of national mourning.

The International Olympic Committee is continuing to maintain that sportsmanship ideal so as not to let politics intrude on the Olympics. On Friday, they avoided any political intrusion by erecting a barrier so that the Israeli team could not see the Lebanese team training. You can guess who asked for that.
Both teams were scheduled to train inside London’s ExCeL center but Lebanon’s team did not want to be seen by the Israeli one, and IOC officials heeded to the Lebanese’s demand after the team’s coach demanded separation.
Do you all remember the movie An American Tale and its (delusional - and that was exactly the point) theme song, "There are no cats in America"? There are no politics at the Olympics.
