I believe Obama was talking about "roads and bridges" (mentioned in the Obama's previous sentence) that is built by society and gov't.
Cheers,

Roads & bridges are hired to be built by private sector taxpayers. The govt in America is by the consent of the governed. In America, the govt is resource-free... only has what it taxes/confiscates from private citizens, has no production of it's own, by design of the Constitution. Right now, almost 50% of "society" is not paying taxes toward "govt". This idea that the U.S. govt "builds" is for sure marcuse marxist crap. Time to unload it, vote these people out and go back to the Constitution (which these lying "govt" people have fraudulently sworn to uphold and protect)... Vote out the Dems, top to bottom!
no wonder he thinks he can and should tax us until we have nothing left. he thinks it isn't anything we earned. he thinks the government gave it to us so it can take it away. it's crystal clear.
now I get Obama.
