I knew this! Even younger kids get this from going to Israel. Even adults (Jewish or not) get this from going to Israel. Because seeing the actual set up on the ground, from north to south, to east, to west... shows the tiny size, the lovely society, and the raging lies that the media has instilled. Making friends that the internet now allows us to keep for years and years. I wish there were more "stay with a family" programs. There are programs where high school or college kids go for a semester or something, but when I looked into it, it seems like most of them are having all the visiting kids staying in a separate dorm or something. I stayed with a family in Guadalajara for a 6-week summer program during college and it has forever shaped my admiration (and some topics of non-admiration) for Mexico. Not just being there, but being with that family. Anyway, keep up the good work, Birthright!!!
