Poll: Drop in Obama support among Jewish voters exceeds national average

Barack Hussein Obama leads Mitt Romney among Jewish voters by 64-29, but that 29 would represent the most Jewish votes any Republican has gotten since Ronald Reagan, and Obama is hemorrhaging Jewish votes faster than other ethnics (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
The president is the choice of 64 percent of Jewish registered voters, versus 29 percent for Romney. But that equates to a 10-point drop for Obama among Jewish voters from November 2008, and a six-point pick up for Republicans. And while some of that can be explained by Obama's slipping numbers across all demographics, the rate at which Jewish voters are defecting from the Obama campaign — and signaling support for Romney — exceeds national averages.

"Obama remains the favorite of Jewish voters but appears to be running a bit weaker among them than he did in 2008, given the 10-point drop in Jewish support for him compared with a five-point drop among all voters," said Gallup analyst Jeffrey Jones in a statement.

Romney has made a major play for Jewish voters this cycle, criticizing the president's stance on Israel and playing up his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The men have known each other for nearly four decades, when they both worked at a Boston-area consulting firm together.

Still, Obama carries a 35-point lead among Jewish voters who could play an important role in November's contest. Since April, 83 percent of Jewish voters surveyed by Gallup say they definitely will vote, exceeding the national average of 78 percent among all registered voters.
And the campaign hasn't even really started yet....

OMG! 64% still support him when his team has sent guns to Mexico that have killed hundreds on two sides of the drug cartel street war?!!? I mean, I'm pretty sure they are all in for the border agents killed by the guns, because after all they are kind of like the U.S. Military. But the deaths of civilians on the streets of Mexico? Just that should take it down to 5%, with screams for RICO murdering manslaughter prosecution of these people!! Israel is a driver for many, but even those who refuse to identify should NOT support the Dems' sponsorship of killing and beheadings in a neighboring country. Vote this Murdering Manson party out!!!!!!

And furthermore, if the Obama team and the Dems intend to give ultimate power to the UN, watch the Hero Ami Horowitz's documentary. If 64% of U.S. Jews still support these people, then they are truly demented. These are not only Jewish issues, they are issues of HARMING humans. VOTE OUT ALL THE DEMS until they return to sanity.

I can't believe this poll. Word I'm getting from the Tribe here in Chicago is that they are NOT donating to his campaign.

Now while the Tribe will not vote for Romney, they probably will not vote for Obama either. Without a John Anderson, I guess Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny will get the Jewish vote. I'd go with Bugs myself.

Repentence and Restitution to the country that allows us to sit unafraid under our tree (ref: G. Washington to Newport, RI Jewish community, available on the Touro Synagogue website) would mean voting for the Republicans in order to re-right the cart that has been overturned. Sitting out is better than voting for these Dems (including Obama), but it counts as a half-vote for Obama. Clear it out and vote Republican for this election... no one has to tell a soul because we have the secret ballot still. Put things back to rights.

I can't believe any moderate, thinking Americans are still confirmed Democrats. This is no longer the Democratic Party of FDR, Harry Truman or even Lyndon Johnson.

It's now the Democratic Party of Saul Alinsky, Noam Chomsky, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan.

Findalis, not donating to his campaign and still voting for him are not contradictory.

I wish Bugs would win. He knew how to call a maroon a maroon.
