Obama won't visit Israel, but Putin will
I love this picture. It looks like Obama lost a penny or something like that. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is sitting in the picture, looks supremely confident and full of contempt for Obama. And Obama is searching for his lost penny - and maybe for the respect that he has caused the United States to lose. While President Obams is not likely to show his face in Israel before the election - and risk a hostile reaction from thousands of Israelis, Vladimir Putin retains his arrogant swagger. Putin is coming to Israel for the first time in seven years, and he apparently could care less what anyone thinks of him. The date of the visit has not yet been determined.
Foreign Minster Avigdor Liberman met with Putin in Moscow in December amid reports that Russia had delivered Yaknot cruise missiles to Syria, despite US and Israeli lobbying against the move.If Obama is God forbid reelected in November, Russia may find Israel a lot more receptive to closer relations. Could that be Putin's aim?
According to a communiqué put out by Liberman’s office following the December meeting, he told Putin that Israel and Russia had different positions on a range of issues, from the diplomatic process with the Palestinians to current developments in the region, but that he hoped Israel’s position on matters such as Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas would get a hearing in Moscow.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Liberman said Russia’s support for unilateral Palestinian moves does not bring an agreement closer or improve relations between Israel and the Palestinians. Israel’s position is that the type of support Russia has articulated for the PA’s moves at the UN only increase the Palestinians’ belief that they can get the world to impose a solution on Israel, thus making it more difficult to lure them to return to the negotiating table.
With that, Liberman said ties between the countries are “very positive” 20 years after the renewal of diplomatic relations between them, and that this was manifest in an ongoing political dialogue, in economic and cultural ties and in keeping alive the memory of the Holocaust.
Liberman extended an invitation to Putin from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who was last in Moscow in early 2010. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev had planned to visit Israel in January 2011, but had to suffice with meeting Palestinian Authority officials in Jericho, where he arrived for a few hours from Jordan, because a Foreign Ministry work dispute prevented a full state visit to Jerusalem.

Russia is an observer member of the OIC. Will soon become a fully fledged member.
Maybe Israel should join too. That may be the best security yet for Israel :-) Failing that, i'd stick to the US...your last hope, enjoy it while it lasts... as it won't be for much longer.
Chayma's dreams of genocide are similar to the cheering on Titus' Gate. And the only place we learn about Imperial Romans is in old dusty museums and books. And yet we're still here.
empress Trudy,
As for Titus, and the Romans, ..
Since we don't comit genocide except in self defense, why did you even mention the word?
Sounds like you have a guilty conscience. You know Israel's black deeds will boomerang one day.
Justice shall be served. Not revenge, but justice.
As for dreams of genocide, we had plenty of chance for that, genocide is your way, (from the Canaanite conquest, to the Bolshevik Jews killing 50million Christians, Winston Churchill said in and Christinaity's way, not ours.
Remember it was the Muslim empires that saved Jews. Christians didn't fully get to be Christians freely except under the Muslim Caliphates.
Your idol of Zionism, demands that you can make homeless millions of people already living on land you left millenia ago? All this, while claiming your idol gave you that right, but did your idol forget to tell you that doesn't work, unless all Jews are in Israel? Why are Jews living around the world trying desperately using lies, and Islamophobia, to garner support for Zionism??
This idol will be smashed, just as we smash every idol, and not necessarily by our own hand ;-)
Oh and Empress Trudy, my post was a response to the stupidity and cluelessness of Carl's lines here:
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is sitting in the picture, looks supremely confident and full of contempt for Obama. And Obama is searching for his lost penny - and maybe for the respect that he has caused the United States to lose.
Carl obviously does'nt know Russia, or that it is nearly half Muslim already, and that Putin mocking Obama is not good news for Islamophobes, since Putin and Russia are part of the Muslim world.
Some of Russia's richest oligarchs are Muslim, and own vast industries, ie. Lukoil which won the oil contracts that your lot thought the US could steal from invading Iraq.
Iraq gave them to Lukoil.
OIC member countries, include Russia.
