Time to get behind Joe Walsh
You may recall that two weeks ago, Congressman Joe Walsh (R-Il) called for a one-state solution between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea: A Jewish state. For that, Walsh has been excoriated by those who worship at the altar of the 'two-state solution.'FOR HIS unstinting support for Israel, Walsh has been subject to an unbridled assault by leftist American Jews. Ron Kampeas from JTA, for instance, attacked Walsh, accusing him of being no different than Israel's enemies who seek to destroy Israel by ending its ability to define itself as a Jewish state through what they refer to as the "one-state solution."Caroline Glick writes that Walsh is right. I agree.
Kampeas blasted Walsh for suggesting that Palestinians unwilling to live under Israeli rule could move to Jordan which, with its 75-percent Palestinian majority, is effectively the Palestinian state. To back up his condemnation, Kampeas quoted Robert Wright's excoriation of Walsh in The Atlantic.
There Wright wrote, "Offhand, I don't recall a member of Congress in my lifetime saying anything so grotesquely at odds with American ideals about ethnic relations and for that matter basic human rights."
First, it is important to consider the claim that Walsh went against the grain of American ideals by suggesting, "Those Palestinians who wish to may leave their Fatah- and Hamas-created slums and move to the original Palestinian state: Jordan. The British Mandate for Palestine created Jordan as the country for the Palestinians. That is the only justification for its creation. Even now, 75% of its population is of Palestinian descent."Read the whole thing. It's about 99% correct.
The fact of the matter is that the two-state paradigm rests on the assumption that the Palestinian state will be ethnically cleansed of Jews before it is established. Whereas Walsh somehow stands in opposition to American ideals for suggesting that the Palestinians may voluntarily immigrate to Jordan, Kampeas, Ben- Ami and their cohorts have no problem with the concept of a Jew-free Palestine and the forcible expulsion of up to 675,000 Jews from their homes in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem simply because they are Jewish.
Aside from their pernicious hypocrisy and moral blindness, what stands out in their assaults on Walsh is that they cannot tell the difference between Israel's enemies that seek its destruction through the so-called one-state solution, and Israel's friends, who want it to defeat its enemies and live with security and peace. For the likes of Kampeas and Ben-Ami, there is no difference between Walsh and Israel's worst enemies.
PART OF this problem is their apparent unquestioning acceptance of the myth of a demographic time bomb. They seem not to have noticed that the Palestinian claim that by 2015 there will be an Arab majority west of the Jordan River is a complete fabrication.
The truth is that if Israel applied its laws to Judea and Samaria tomorrow and all the Palestinians in those areas received Israeli citizenship, Israel would still retain a two-thirds Jewish majority. Moreover, all the demographic trends for Israel, including increasing birthrates and positive immigration rates, are positive. And all the demographic trends for the Palestinians, including decreasing birthrates and negative immigration rates, are negative. According to Israeli demographic researcher Yoram Ettinger, by 2030, Jewish will likely comprise 80% of the population of Israel, Judea and Samaria.
So Ben-Ami's argument that Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria means the end of Israeli democracy is simply incorrect.

If Walsh got what he wanted, he would also support a Jew free America.
I'm not against the idea. Set the precedent and the Palestinians will leave if forced to.
But then we will do the same.
We have 9 figure sums waiting to do that same in return. Every Jew in the world would have to return to Israel or else....
The irony is the American right wing pro Israel Christians would be on our side, especially CUFI follower :)
special for Jerusalem day a panoramic view click here for an interactive experience http://www.jerusalem.jcpa.org/index_nointro.aspx
Forcing world Jewry to return to Israel is perhaps the best solution to this whole mess.
No more aid,
No more AIPAC,
The Republican party would support such a move.
I support Joe Walsh.
I forgot to mention..
The reason Jeremy Ben Ami and other 'too comfortable in America' Jews vociferously oppose this move by Joe Walsh, is precisely because it would set a precedent.
They wouldn't be able to stop a 'tell Jews to go to the Jewish state' if that were to happen.
Christian Zionists would switch to our side, we wouldn't even need to do any lobbying in the USA. Just provide the funds.
J Street are not honest.
if American Jewry were forced out to Israel, the biggest casualty in Israel would be the religious Jews, once the Palestinians left.
Yaron Landon, may well get his 'shrinking' wish come true :)
Civil war!
I'm trying to remember - is it Kelo - where public entities can take over privately owned land, just willy nilly? They can just say that someone else can turn the land into something that will result in more money for the government coffers, confiscate it and give it to someone else? With no accountability to actually perform on the "more revenue" assertion?
I love this article, whose link I think I bookmarked from Israel Matzav,
http://www.nysun.com/foreign/how-benzion-netanyahu-helped-put-in-the-un/87809/#.T6FfOeudr38.facebook
about Benzion Netanyahu and the point that the initial laws/charters/etc. say that Jews can live everywhere from the Jordan River to the sea. Article 80. Not repealed. Not revised. But these random people just blasting it away for any old political excuse.
So, by having Israeli civilians sitting under warcrime rocketfire, we train the world. Then, instead of holding a NATO conference in Chicago with the people kept safe, they instead board things up and make people leave their homes in order to make a space for the warcrime #Occupy rioters.
And the U.S. govt is supplying guns to warcrime drug cartels in Mexico, resulting in massive killing. (BTW rumor has it that Hezbollah is starting up schools and other community facilities in Mexico, just like in Leb, and using the kids from the schools to run drugs into the U.S. and that Hezbollah is the reason for the many many beheadings happening in Mexico now - used to be rare and shocking. Now dozens at a time.)
So I vote against having judenrein areas, not paying attention to title search info, Jews being rocketed, rounding up Jews into certain areas for easy slaughter, as the Muslim Students Association member supported at UCSD...
In summary, the old fashioned American Constitution (with lots of Torah approaches in it) deals with these things in a way that has allowed people to assemble in peace from all over the world in America. If one settled in the U.S. and followed the Constitution and (old time) laws, one could have a decent life and a chance to give their kids an improving life. If people want something other than than, why not just live somewhere else that matches your own hearts' desires?
