Released terrorists spend first night in Gaza in 5-star hotel

'Palestinian' terrorists spent their first night of freedom in a 5-star Gaza hotel. At whose expense?

Here is the caption from the picture above:
Two freed Palestinian prisoners sit at the cafe of Al-Mashtal hotel, where they are staying, in the Gaza Strip October 19, 2011. Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and hundreds of Palestinians crossed Israel's borders in opposite directions on Tuesday as a thousand-for-one prisoner exchange brought joy to families but did little to ease decades of conflict.

Terrorists? I would hardly call people fighting for freedom and survival 'terrorists'. Wouldn't the people occupying their homeland, a.k.a. the Israeli's, be the terrorists? The government of Israel has segregated the Palestinian people, demolished their homes, crippled their economy, made them refugees, forced them to live in slums, and routinely drops sophisticated, modern bombs that contain uranium on their homes. I think we might even compare that to the atrocities committed by the US army is Vietnam. Soon, as the death toll and the injustices mount, it's very reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

Dear Mariyah,
I understand how you feel. What you don't realise is the fact, you are brain washed. Please tell me one Arab country(Muslim) where there is anywhere as much freedom as in Israel. Please tell me, make a posting. All Israel wants is peace. Their neighbours are out to destroy it, all they do is self defence.
There is no other organisation or political party, which spends as much as the PLO to deceice people, lying to them about their aim. Be honest, most of Hamas are evil, disgusting murderes. You disagree with them and you#re gone. Like Nazi g.ermany

Hi Josef,

I agree that there's probably more freedom in Israel than in any Middle Eastern country. But you also have to acknowledge that most of the dictators that were placed in power in the region were done so by the US and Europe. For example, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt had very friendly ties with the US, as do the royal family in Saudi Arabia. The leaders who haven't been given power by the US, or aren't working in the interest of the US and Europe, are routinely called terrorists or fanatics, or just plain old insane. You say that the PLO and Hamas are disgusting and evil, but they're fighting for their people's freedom, against a government that is much stronger, backed by the US, has no problem defying international laws over and over again, slaughters civilians, and pretty much doesn't have anyone to answer to. I wouldn't believe anything about Hamas or the PLO unless I read about it myself. The media has a way of distorting things, you can't really believe anything they say. While we're on the point of governments killing their own citizens, we should really discuss how the leader of the free world has done so numerous times. But back to my original point, I understand that Israel wants peace, but I don't understand how it can accomplish peace with the blood and suffering of millions of people on its hands. Let me give you an example, Joesef. Imagine you're sitting in your home and suddenly someone barges in and kicks you out forcefully, with guns pointed at your heads. Then, they proceed to murder you as you stand on your front lawn, trying to get back inside YOUR house. Essentially, this is the Palestinian problem. I would love to hear your views on this.
