Obama administration scrambling to keep aid to the 'Palestinians' flowing
The Obama administration is meeting with key members of Congress (presumably Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fl)) in a bid to get them to release their hold on aid to the 'Palestinian Authority.' State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said on Monday the administration was in "intensive" discussions with key lawmakers who had put holds on the money, a financial lifeline for the fledgling Palestinian government-in-waiting.So now we know of at least two holds on aid to the 'Palestinian Authority.' I did a quick search and didn't find any other names, but there may be others. And it's apparently been in effect since August 18.
"We still have some money in the pipeline but the concern is that if we don't get this going with the Congress in short order there could be an effect on the ground," Nuland told a news briefing.
"There have been some concerns in some parts of Congress and we are trying to work through those," she said.
Lawmakers in both the Senate and the House of Representatives have moved in recent weeks to freeze the flow of aid to the Palestinians that had been appropriated for fiscal year 2011.
Representative Kay Granger, the Republican chairwoman of the House subcommittee that oversees foreign aid, placed her hold in August "until the issue of statehood is resolved" at the United Nations, her spokesman, Matt Leffingwell, said.
"My boss is watching what is happening at the UN, and constantly reevaluating," he said.

Instead of pressuring Israel to make concessions to save the Obama Administration from having to cast an unpopular veto at the UN, the Administration should be leaning on the Palestinians to withdraw their statehood bid or face the consequences. Instead, the Administration wants to make sure the Palestinians pay no real price for humiliating the US. Now that's called leading from behind!

Vote out the marxist caliphate administration.... get their grubby mits off the pursestrings.
Voting them out will require a landslide because of their cheater voting moves. And, while voting seems like a quaint notion in these people's world, it is the replacement for fighting in the streets. We need to take it seriously as the means to cut off their access to these levers without violence and starvation. Get trained as a voter registrar and get out there in areas where non-marxist voters may have been sitting out. And be sure to remind the (D)s that they still have the secret ballot and can help vote these people out without ever having to tell their lefty friends and family.
