'Palestinians' turn down UN non-member status

Israel Radio reports (3:00) that Abu Mazen has told a news conference in Lebanon that the 'Palestinians' have turned down non-member status or status like the Vatican has in the UN.

They claim to have commitments from 9 Security Council members and 126 General Assembly members to vote in favor of a 'Palestinian state.'

What could go wrong?

Keep an eye out for Obama at the UNSC--he hates to be the holdout against the PC pro-peacenik Palestinian consensus (his own default position) and, as with his addiction to American deficit "stimulus" spending, in a bind he doubles down on stupid and throws away commitments (re: Jerusalem, the Palmer Report, American balanced budgets). It would help if Bibi and his boys had a backup in their back pockets in case Obama folds and tries to put himself at the front the Pali state parade.

It could be communicated, discretely or not, in advance, to the Whine House.

The Palestinians will get most of the world to vote with them. The only question left is the size of the UN "statehood" majority.
