Breaking: Terror attack in Tel Aviv

Israel Radio is reporting that that a terrorist ran his car onto a sidewalk outside a Tel Aviv nightclub a short while ago, then got out of the car with a knife screaming Allahu Akhbar. Six people have been injured, some of them seriously.

No further details yet.

UPDATE 3:04 AM

I have more details.

The attack occurred after an Arab stole a taxi, ran over a man and lightly injured him, then stabbed several other people at the corner of Abarbanel and Salame Streets in the city.

Magen David Adom reported that one person was stabbed in the head and stomach and was very seriously injured, two people were moderately injured and two others were lightly injured. They were taken to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

The suspected terrorist was also injured and was taken to the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.

Police are investigating the incident which is currently being treated as a terror attack.

Israel Radio is reporting that this happened just before 2:00 am and that at least two of those injured are police officers.

It's not known yet from where the terrorist came.

Police are now certain that this is a terrorist attack.

UPDATE 3:12 AM

Israel Radio now reporting that the terrorist came from Shchem (Nablus), that he stole the taxi in Jaffa and then went to the HaOman 17 night club in southern Tel Aviv, where a big party for the end of the summer was being held this evening.

That's all until the morning (there are other posts queued throughout the night, but no more updates to this post). I need to get some sleep.
