Carl, if you wonder why Salam Fayyad hasn't gone along with Abu Bluff's UN statehood bid, its in the numbers:
Palestinians Face Budget Crisis
In a word, the PA is facing bankruptcy due to donor fatigue and unpaid bank loans. Sounds to me like the "Fayyad miracle" may well evaporate by the time summer's over!
Besides intramural feuding, the Palestinians are facing September with an insolvent government and an economy on the brink of collapse! Sounds to me like they are far from ready for statehood!
No one's listening to Fayyad's pleas! Faster, faster, faster now!
Heh
I'm all for revolution. Can't wait till the NYTimes goes bankrupt, gets bought out by the Koch brothers, who place Mark Steyn at the chief editor's desk.
Speaking of Steyn:
Obama's Declaration of Dependence
Shy Guy, between the collapse of Free Gaza's best laid plans and Palestinian Arab bankruptcy over the horizon, its a great summer!
Israel has nothing to worry about in September!
