What Obama doesn't get about the Middle East in one sentence?
Barry Rubin tries to sum up what Barack Hussein Obama doesn't get about the Middle East in one sentence: The changes in the region are producing more extremism, not more moderation.But here's the thing. When it comes to Israel, Barry is assuming that Obama actually doesn't want to see Israel destroyed. I'm not sure that's correct. In fact, I think Barry's wrong on that point. It's not politically correct to say it, but I would say that Obama is at best indifferent to Israel's continued existence as a Jewish state in the Middle East, and at worst would like to see it destroyed.
What could go wrong?
