Let's go to the videotape.

Just so you know, Palestine genocide week

is happening at UCSD next week. A bunch of people called Tritons for Israel are (finally) doing an Israel Solidarity Week at the same time...

The Chancellor has sent a letter to the UCSD Board of Trustees announcing the event (6 days before it starts and it is NOT posted on the campuswide calendar). She calls the Tritons for Israel event "Peace Week" rather than "Israel Solidarity Week". We put it back up as a thread on the LInkedIn UCSD Alumni Association group page. These events need to be either moved off campus or into a Ballroom or something because their current location is an area that is a critical path for students and I would say it has been a hostile event. And the UCSD administration insists on setting it up as competing narratives (one of them many lies) at the OK Corral. What could go wrong. Remember this from the same event last year? Of course, the UCSD Chancellor makes no mention that "Peace Week", which is what she is wishing the Israel supporters would put up, is a fundraiser for kids who are being rocketed in Sderot.

And, in case anybody is tired of hearing about all this, it is coming to your backyard if you live in the SW US. Israel absolutely has been the canary and we in the US will need to get up off our couches very soon.
