Ahmadinejad and Erdogan spend a couple of hours together
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met in Istanbul on Monday (Hat Tip: Joshua I). Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of the Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC-IV) in İstanbul on Monday.They look so happy together. What could go wrong?
Ahmadinejad came to a room in his hotel in İstanbul’s Beşiktaş district five minutes before Erdoğan arrived and greeted journalists by making a peace sign and clinching his fist while saying “Assalamu alaikum,” the Anatolia news agency reported.
The meeting lasted close to two hours and was closed to the press.
