Obama votes 'present' on Jerusalem terror attack

The President of the United States is in the cone of silence and has effectively voted 'present' on Wednesday's terror attack in Jerusalem. This is from Jennifer Rubin.
No U.S. official has made a statement as of 11:00 a.m., two hours after the attack. The State Department’s spokesman says that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may speak at a 2:00 p.m. press availability with the Moroccan foreign minister make a statement. Has anyone from the State Department spoken to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu? “Not yet,” e-mails the spokesman. The national security adviser’s spokesman did not return my request for similar information about the White House’s statements and contacts.

...

Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, residents tell me that there’s extensive live coverage in the Israeli media. An American in Jersualem e-mails me, “The city is glued to Army radio and TV. I just walked in the door, back from King David hotel — traffic is gridlocked and the entrance to the city is blocked.”

And the U.S. administration has nothing to say for now.
I suppose it could have been worse. This is what J Street had to say.
We are in Jerusalem today, a mile from the bombing, for a debate in Israel’s Knesset, at which we reiterated that the security of Israel depends on ending the conflict with the Palestinian people through a two-state solution.
Never let a good crisis terror attack go to waste.

UPDATE 7:02 PM

Israel Radio just reported that Obama, Robert Gates and French Foreign Minister Alain Guppe have all condemned the terror attack.

Barack Hussein's statement refers only to "Palestinian victims"!! Unreal.

“The United States calls on the groups responsible to end these attacks at once and we underscore that Israel, like all nations, has a right to self-defense,” he said. “We also express our deepest condolences for the deaths of Palestinian civilians in Gaza yesterday. We stress the importance of calm and urge all parties to do everything in their power to prevent further violence and civilian casualties.”
