IDF training soldiers to kill 'settlers'
The people in the picture have nothing to do with the story.Haggai Segal reports in Makor Rishon (a Hebrew-only paper with no website that is very popular in Judea and Samaria) that three months ago, an IDF Colonel presented troops from the Carmeli brigade with a training psychodrama that was 'resolved' by killing a Jewish 'settler.'

him. The settler driver then gets out of his car, draws a knife and puts it against the neck of one of the soldiers and threatens to kill him if they don’t let him pass.
With the participation of the reserve soldiers watching the psycho drama performance, the drama is “resolved” by killing the settler with shots to his head.
Settlers among the reservists protested the scenario, noting that such a scenario never transpired but the colonel who wrote the scenario rejected the complaints, saying that he didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.
Segal notes that the same scenario was repeated at the next round of “Dilemma Theater” presentations to reserve solders in the brigade but it was dropped after that.
The IDF Spokesperson defended the scenario to Segal, writing that “scenarios are frequently intentionally exaggerated in order to prepare the commanders so that they can deal with complicated situations”.

This, headline and article amount to serious incitement against the IDF. You better decide who's side you are on. because if it ever comes to a choice between the IDF and religious fanatic squatters, have no doubt where most Israelis and Jews will stand. They will stand with the IDF. I support Jewish rights to live in Judea and Samaria, but I support Israeli democracy and the the IDF far more.
If the IDF kills an unarmed revanant, there should be a revolution against the state.
That is a red line that must not be crossed.
Someone is itching to find out what would happen if the government does go there.
All Israel should pray it should never have to find out.

What's pitiful about the people who created this scenario is that they don't even know that it's permitted to violate the Sabbath to save a life.
Not only wouldn't "settlers" threaten to kill someone to keep the Sabbath, they would be more than willing to break the Sabbath to save a life instead.
The training scenario is exactly the opposite of Judaism and the training designers don't even know it.
The comment by Matrix is the type of reaction this appalling scenario is designed to create: divide and rule. Divide the Jews, divide the Israelis, in order to make it easier to destroy Israel!!

A civil war of the left against the right has been raging since befor statehood, with the Haganbnah hammering the Etzel, Palmach, etc. Rabin even bragged that he shot at Jews in the water when they sank the Altalena.
The Hagannah becamne the IDF and it's officers are leftists of the left to do their fighting against the right. If they don't play ball, they fall by the wayside, like Buggy Yaalon.
