UN defends 'Palestinian Authority' against charges it's trying too hard to make peace
How bad are things for the 'Palestinian Authority' as a result of Palileaks? They're bad enough that Robert Serry, the UN's Special Coordinator for the 'peace process' felt the need to defend them on Monday against charges that they are trying too hard to make peace. "I can personally attest to the commitment of the Palestinian leadership to secure the legitimate rights and interests of the Palestinian people, based on international law and UN resolutions," the UN coordinator said.Can you imagine any diplomat of any country or entity feeling the need to defend Israel's leaders against a charge of making too many concessions? When Ehud Barak and then Ehud Olmert tried to give away the store, everyone stood and applauded. No one felt the need to tell Israelis that they were looking out for our interests even though they clearly were not (each of them made his concessions in a desperate attempt to stay in power at a time when the country was fed up with them and their policies).
Serry added that he "would urge both parties to show their readiness for a negotiated peace based on a two-state solution, and to deliver on the ground."
"It is to the genuine credit of the Palestinian leadership that they are doing so," he said, "and this is widely acknowledged in the United Nations."
Does the UN want peace? Or does it want to replace Israel with a 'Palestinian state'? Serry gives the impression (which is probably correct) that the UN would rather replace Israel with a 'Palestinian state.'

The PA doesn't want peace? So much for the final solution every one knows will establish peace.
And the Palestinians are not exactly in a big hurry to set up a state any time soon.
Just recently Hamas instructed its militia groups to be quiet on the Israeli front. Now all this posturing about how peace-loving the other "Palestinians" are.
All just part of the lead-up into "Palestine"'s upcoming entry into the family of nations. However, it would suck for them if a civil war totally ruined it all. If a civil war could have that effect.
