The master of understatement

Those of you who click on this link without seeing the picture (which will happen on Twitter but not on Facebook) may be surprised to find out whom I am tagging as the 'master of understatement. In fact, his words on Monday are likely to tick off the Obama administration and much of the rest of the 'international community.' On Monday, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told AFP that there would be no Middle East peace "for at least a decade."

That's a huge understatement. It's unlikely that there will be Middle East peace in the next two generations, because the 'Palestinians' have continued to imbue their 'people' with hatred. The children of today will be leaders two generations from now - if they don't blow up too quickly.

And despite all the venom sprayed at him by the 'international community,' Lieberman is one of the few politicians on the Right who genuinely wants a 'Palestinian state.' He's just being realistic about it.

Read the whole thing.

Lieberman would accept a Palestinian state on the basis of reciprocity.

Its a pipe dream however since the Palestinians refuse to negotiate with Israel to get one.

We won't see peace happen in our lifetime.
