Haaretz gives 'lost in translation' new meaning

Here's an interesting little tidbit from CAMERA about how Haaretz translated a phrase exactly the opposite of its true meaning.

When you read an Israeli newspaper website in English, with the exception of JPost, you are almost always reading something that's been translate from Hebrew, and the article is no more true than the translation is faithful to the original. (Yes, I'm guilty of the same thing. Even though my Hebrew is fluent, I will rarely go back to check a translation against the original Hebrew. I don't have the time). Yet another reason to treat what you're reading with a healthy dose of skepticism.
