I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Yaakov Achimeir shows that he himself is a victim of the numb leftist stupidity which permeates throughout Israeli and western mass media.
I used to think he was a cut above the rest. I was wrong.
So what about what Ms. Phillips said? That Israel has very unwisely abandoned this international battlefield of public perception, giving ground to the anti-Semites and anti-Israel crowd?

Israel mostly has neglected to provide engineering level information on various attacks and mitigation measures they've taken. Title search info, rocket effects and mitigation info, elevation analysis... And, by the way, it does look like the types of attacks that Israeli civilians have been convinced to sit still under have metastasized to Mexico and may spill over into U.S. border areas...
I am glad that somebody has raised this issue on the Israeli TV and as shocking as it sounds, the situation is much worse. I found that Israelis are extremely sure in their ways and very slow to consider alternative views. As an example it was the only place where they found it necessary to "teach" me the correct way to say the Chinese word DAO. Israelis told me very sheepishly that word was pronounced TAO. I told them in return, in very gentle way that perhaps their way was incorrect. I should know since I was a professor of Chinese.
