Armenian genocide bill doesn't reach House floor

In one of her final acts as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal) has prevented a bill to recognize the Armenian genocide from reaching the House floor. The bill enjoyed broad, bipartisan support.
"Despite a broad bipartisan majority of U.S. representatives prepared to vote in favor of the Armenian Genocide Resolution [H.Res. 252],U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chose today to let this session of Congress expire without bringing this human rights legislation to a vote," Armenian National Committee of America, or ANCA said in a statement on its website.

The Armenian Assembly of America, another major U.S. Armenian group, also reported in the last minutes of Wednesday's House meeting that "the House adjourns before considering final action on the Armenian genocide resolution."
The bill passed the House Foreign Affairs Committee in March. I guess 'Muslim outreach' and Turkey's 'honor' is more important than justice for Armenians to the Democratic leadership. Not a good omen for Jews.

Hi Carl.

Erdoğan recalls Nobel spirit in genocide bill debate.Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed hope that US President Barack Obama would support Turkey’s stance concerning a vote by the US House of Representatives on a resolution declaring the World War I-era killings of Armenians a genocide, suggesting that such support would comply with the Nobel spirit. Erdoğan, speaking to reporters late on Tuesday, was cautious as he said that last-minute developments could occur.“We are following this closely. However, we have always been told of the Nobel as peace and as love. I believe that those who argue for peace and love will stand behind this argument,” Erdoğan said at a joint press conference with visiting Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Otri. In October 2009, the Nobel committee awarded Obama the Peace Prize, citing what it expected he would accomplish in reducing threats around the globe.

What in God Almighty his name has the Nobel Prize to see with Turks Butchering Millions of innocent Armenians, how low can you steep?

Worth repeating:

Professor Bernard Lewis on Armenian "Genocide"

Every time and everywhere I have posted this, I have either received silence in reply or rabid insults without explanation of why Lewis is wrong.

Hi Shy guy.

The crime of "genocide" defined in internation law .

It is a crime to plan or incite genocide, even before killing starts, and to aid or abet genocide: Criminal acts include conspiracy, direct and public incitement, attempts to commit genocide, and complicity in genocide.

To me , any attempt to destroy a people because you feel superior to them must be qualified as genocide no matter their race, color our religion.
Thinking that it can't be genocide because they revolted is just ignoring the facts.

Will, how does what you just commented disprove any of Lewis' arguments and historic claims, other than you having your own personal opinion?

Specifically, what did Lewis say that is factually incorrect?
