Obama: Hope and same
Ben Smith says not to expect any change in the post-midterm Obama.Benjamin Netanyahu's defiance of President Obama's complaint over new construction in Jerusalem is the first test of the post-midterm White House, and of its appetite for confrontation abroad in general, and for foreign policy confrontation with the new Republican House majority, in particular.Unless you call going back to where we were in March "change."
All the indications I've gotten from both the U.S. and Israeli sides are that nobody expects much of a change from Obama.

I expect Israel to be able to push back. The soon to be Republican-led House has the power of the purse and Obama now can bark but he really can't do anything to really punish Israel for its presumed defiance and every one knows it.
The election clipped his wings and the emperor has no clothes.
